During Jesus Christ’s three-year public ministry, he spent much time with his apostles. Throughout this time, these twelve men learned so much from Jesus in terms of his actions, words, and teachings. At some point in time, Jesus taught these men how to pray. “But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.” (Matthew 6:6)
Below is one version of “The Lord’s Prayer.” When you have the opportunity, pray this prayer every day. Take your time when you pray this prayer. When you are taking your time praying this prayer each day, focus on each word and its meaning. Maybe choose a word, phrase or sentence that stands out to you. Then focus on this word, phrase or sentence and how you can use it to live out your faith with the hope and prayer that you can help others grow closer to Jesus Christ.
