Auguste Rodin, a French sculptor from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, once said, “Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely.” I love this quote. Let me relate this quote to the decor in the half bathroom in my family home. When you use this bathroom, you will notice that there are many items to read and contemplate when you are there. I have chosen to decorate the bathroom with several Scripture passages and a few inspirational quotes. I like the way that this bathroom looks. I also like the fact that when I am using this bathroom, I am able to read and reflect on several passages from the Bible and contemplate the meaning of these passages. I would rather decorate this bathroom with these items instead of any number of items that I can choose to decorate it. The picture above is from this bathroom. Since a few of these may be challenging to read, I have chosen to list the Scripture passages from this picture below.
- “Let all that you do be done in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:14)
- “I will walk by faith even when I cannot see.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
- God says you are … unique (Psalm 139:13); special (Ephesians 2:10); lovely (Daniel 12:3); precious (1 Corinthians 6:20); strong (Psalm 18:35); chosen (John 15:16).
The Scripture passages and quote below are also decorations in this same bathroom. Think about doing the same that I have done with this bathroom … decorating the walls with Scripture passages and quotes for anyone who chooses to use your bathroom. When a family member or friend uses your bathroom, he or she will have something to read when they are there. It is the hope that they will have a different perspective on things in life once they are finished using the bathroom.
