Cellular Phones Are Beneficial to One’s Faith

Bytes of Faith-An Idea for Faith Formation – hope4ce

There are so many times when someone will say that cellular phones are a detriment to so many people in myriad ways. This may be true in some situations. It depends on what each person is using his or her phone for. Is each person using a phone to glorify God or is each person using a phone where it’s use is being detrimental to oneself or some other person? The following is from Pope Francis:

What would happen if we turned back when we forget it, if we opened it more times a day, if we read the message of God contained in the Bible the way we read messages on our cellphones? What would happen if we always brought it with us, or at least a small pocket–sized Gospel?

I believe that our world would be different in so many positive ways if we did this. It would be very cool if every person read Scripture as much as each person uses a cell phone each day.  It is hard for me to imagine every single person on the planet reading the Bible as much as one uses his or her phone. Nevertheless, the cell phone can be used in so many ways that can be beneficial to other people. Applications (Apps) on one’s phone are just one way to do this. Check out just a few of these below.
