I have written before about the topic of Christian music and how important it is to me for a number of different reasons. Just to refresh your memory, the list below is what I listed in a previous blog entry. These are the reasons why I enjoy listening to this genre of music.
(1) I deepen my relationship with Jesus Christ.
(2) I learn more about what Jesus Christ did for me and how important He is in my life.
(3) I deepen my understanding of the Christian faith.
(4) I worship God and give glory to Him.
(5) I learn more about God’s Word and what He is saying to me.
(6) I have the opportunity to focus on my faith, one of the most important areas of my life.
(7) I take the time to do something which mentally “takes me away” from everything.
(8) I am able to refocus my thoughts on what is most important in my life.
(9) Many contemporary Christian song lyrics are right from Scripture.
Several months ago, I was sitting in the family room of my home trying to figure out which App on the flatscreen television I was going to use in order to stream something to watch. Well, I chose to go with K-Love On-Demand, and I began watching The Resurrection of a King by Tommee Profitt. I watched and listened to the first song, then the second song, then the third song, and this kept on going until I was finished all of the songs over a two-hour span.
